Station success and intense digidrawing!!!
What am I doing now ?
Well last weekend I was delighted to participate in a Pop Up studio sale at the Station in Richmond. I had a very successful two days and met some lovely new arty friends . The highlight of the event was selling a favourite painting of mine 'The Devil's Arrows' . This was a layered oil painting of the neolithic standing stones site at Boroughbridge . I had started off with a layer of drawing and writing , including an old poem written about the stone pillars. I used oil to add layers of misty green colours then overprinted with researched patterns representing the ley lines passing through this site.
The sale of this painting has spurred me on to do more interpretations of ancient places , so watch this space !!
The small exhibition made me put together some interesting acetate based works. I used acrylics to create painted and collograph printed backgrounds onto which I placed an acetate of my digital panda sketch. I was really interested in the results! Bright alive and new!
I am also going full steam ahead on the book at the moment all done in the brilliant 'Procreate App' .
And a sneaky old Wolf pic I found in my collection.
